WHY ROOTED PILATES?

ABOUT ROOTED

Located in the heart of downtown Carlisle, Rooted Pilates is a small studio dedicated to making Pilates accessible to everybody.

Every session at Rooted Pilates is designed to meet you exactly where you are. You can expect a thoughtful, guided experience that blends mindful movement with challenge and progression.

Pilates is a learning system that builds awareness, strength, and balance through consistent practice. We use the full Pilates system: Reformer, Tower, Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Core Align—along with small props to support or deepen your work.

We begin by assessing your posture, alignment, and movement patterns, then use that awareness to guide your session. Sessions/classes move at a steady, intentional pace, emphasizing quality over quantity. You’ll learn to engage the right muscles, move with precision, and build strength from your center.

Whether your goal is to gain strength, improve posture, reduce lower back discomfort, or move with greater ease, each session is built to help you feel empowered in your body. Expect to leave feeling balanced, aligned, and connected to your body and breath.

What to expect in a session?

    55-minutes of personalized movement to meet your body needs. Tailored to your goal, helping you build strength, and flexibility.

    Private Mat Session

    50-minutes of movement for 1-3 people. Personalized instruction in a fun motivating setting: perfect for friends, family or workout buddies.

    Group Mat Pilates

    50-minute group mat class blending strength, control, and flow. Biweekly Saturdays focus on flowing classical repertoire, while Weekly Sundays bring a more dynamic, energizing style.
